शिरीष कणेकर यांच्या निधनामुळे साहित्य विश्वाचे नुकसान – राज्यपाल रमेश बैस      

मुंबई, दि. 25 : राज्यपाल रमेश बैस यांनी ज्येष्ठ पत्रकार, लेखक, वक्ते आणि भाष्यकार शिरीष कणेकर यांच्या निधनाबद्दल दुःख व्यक्त केले आहे.

“उत्तम पत्रकार असलेले शिरीष कणेकर मिश्किल, हरहुन्नरी व विनोदी लेखक तसेच प्रभावी वक्ते होते.  कणेकर यांनी अखेरपर्यंत स्तंभलेखन केले आणि आपल्या खुमासदार शैलीने वाचकांचे तसेच श्रोत्यांचे मनोरंजन केले. क्रिकेट आणि हिंदी चित्रपटसृष्टी या दोन विषयांवर त्यांनी विपुल लिखाण केले. त्यांच्या निधनामुळे साहित्य आणि सांस्कृतिक विश्वाचे नुकसान झाले आहे. शिरीष कणेकर यांना भावपूर्ण श्रद्धांजली अर्पण करतो आणि आपल्या शोकसंवेदना त्यांच्या कुटुंबियांना कळवतो”, असे राज्यपालांनी आपल्या शोकसंदेशात म्हटले आहे.

Governor condoles demise of journalist, columnist Shirish Kanekar

The Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais has expressed grief over the demise of senior journalist, humourist, orator and commentator Shirish Kanekar.  In a condolence message the Governor wrote:

“The news of the demise of popular writer Shirish Kanekar is saddening. A fine journalist, Kanekar was a humorist, columnist and a popular show host. He wrote his popular column till his end and entertained his readers and audiences, with fun-filled observations.  His talks and articles on cricket and Hindi film industry were much admired.  In his demise, the world of culture and literature has lost a respected figure.  I pay my homage to the departed writer and convey my condolences to the members of the bereaved family.”
