मुंबई, दि. 30 : शिक्षण हीच विकासाची गुरुकिल्ली आहे. शिक्षण व कौशल्याच्या माध्यमातूनच आदिवासी – जनजाती समाज उन्नती साधू शकेल व राष्ट्र विकासात योगदान देऊ शकेल. यास्तव आदिवासी युवक – युवतींनी शिक्षणाची कास धरावी. तसेच नक्षलवाद्यांच्या विरोधात पुकारलेल्या लढ्यात देशाला साथ द्यावी, असे आवाहन राज्यपाल रमेश बैस यांनी आज येथे केले.
बिहार, झारखंड, तेलंगणा व आंध्रप्रदेश या चार राज्यांमधील नक्षलग्रस्त जिल्ह्यातील २०० युवक- युवतींनी सोमवारी (दि. ३०) राज्यपाल श्री. बैस यांची राजभवन मुंबई येथे भेट घेतली, त्यावेळी ते बोलत होते.
केंद्रीय युवा मंत्रालयाच्या नेहरु युवा केंद्र संघटनेने गृह मंत्रालयाच्या सूचनेनुसार नक्षलग्रस्त जिल्ह्यांमधील आदिवासी युवकांसाठी १५ व्या आदिवासी युवक आदान – प्रदान कार्यक्रमांचे आयोजन केले असून, या कार्यक्रमांतर्गत चार राज्यातील युवक महाराष्ट्र भेटीवर आले आहेत.
यावेळी विधानमंडळाच्या वि.स. पागे संसदीय प्रशिक्षण केंद्राचे संचालक नीलेश मदाने, नेहरु युवा केंद्र संघटनेचे महाराष्ट्र व गोवा संचालक प्रकाशकुमार मनुरे, केंद्रीय राखीव पोलीस दलाच्या कमांडंट इंद्राणी यादव व नेहरु युवा केंद्राचे उपनगर जिल्हा युवक अधिकारी निशांत रौतेला उपस्थित होते.
बिहार व झारखंड येथील आदिवासी युवक युवती प्रथमच मुंबई येथे आले असून रेल्वेत देखील प्रथमच चढले या गोष्टीची नोंद घेऊन आदिवासी युवकांची महाराष्ट्र भेट ही त्यांचे अनुभव विश्व समृद्ध करेल, असा विश्वास राज्यपालांनी व्यक्त केला.
केंद्र शासनाने बिरसा मुंडा यांच्या जयंतीला ‘आदिवासी गौरव दिवस’ साजरा करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे, असे सांगून आदिवासी समाजाचे स्वातंत्र्य लढ्यात योगदान फार मोठे असल्याचे राज्यपालांनी सांगितले.
आदिवासी बांधवांनी कौशल्ये आत्मसात करावी, असे सांगताना आदिवासी युवक शेती करीत असतील, तर त्यांनी त्यातील नवनवी कौशल्ये शिकावीत व प्रगतिशील शेतकरी बनावे, असे राज्यपालांनी सांगितले.
आदिवासी युवकांनी केंद्र व राज्य शासनाच्या विविध कल्याणकारी योजनांची माहिती करुन घ्यावी व उद्योजक होण्याचा प्रयत्न करावा, असे राज्यपालांनी सांगितले. यावेळी नेहरू युवा केंद्राचे संचालक श्री. मनुरे यांनी आदिवासी युवा आदान – प्रदान कार्यक्रमाची माहिती दिली. आदिवासी युवक आदान प्रदान कार्यक्रमासाठी मदत करणाऱ्या व्यक्ती व अशासकीय संस्थांचा राज्यपालांच्या हस्ते सत्कार करण्यात आला.

Maharashtra Governor tells tribal youths to educate and stay away from Left Wing Extremists
Mentioning that education is the master key to success, Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais today called upon tribal youths from Naxal affected districts to educate themselves, acquire new skills, become entrepreneurs and help the government in its fight against the Left Wing Extremism.
The Governor was speaking to a group of 200 tribal youths from the States of Bihar, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during an interaction at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Mon (30 Oct).
The tribal youths from the Naxal affected districts of the 4 States met the Governor as part of the 15th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
The Governor said tribals were in the forefront of the Indian freedom movement. He said the nation is proud to have the first woman from the tribal community as the President. He said the Government of India has started the practice of celebrating ‘Janajati Gaurav Diwas’ on the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda.
Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan Maharashtra and Goa Branch Prakash Kumar Manure, Director of V S Page Parliamentary Training Centre of Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan Nilesh Madane, Commandant of CRPF Indrani Yadav and District Youth Officer of Nehru Yuva Kendra Nishant Rautela were present. The Governor felicitated individuals and organisations supporting the Tribal Youth Exchange programme on the occasion.
