मुंबई, दि. 5 : आपत्कालीन वैद्यकीय परिस्थितीत ‘डायल 108’ ही रूग्णवाहिका सेवा अत्यंत महत्त्वाची ठरली आहे. सार्वजनिक आरोग्य विभागाच्या या सेवेने राज्यातील नागरिकांची आरोग्य सेवा करीत तब्बल 10 वर्ष पूर्ण केले आहे. या 10 वर्षाच्या कालावधीत 108 रूग्ण्वाहिकेची सेवा रूग्णांना जीवनदान देणारी ठरली आहे. अशा या संजीवनी देणाऱ्या रूग्णवाहिका सेवेने राज्यात 1 कोटी 3 हजार 446 रूग्णांची विनामूल्य आरोग्य सेवा केली आहे.
कुणी आजारी असेल, अपघात झाला असेल किंवा वैद्यकीय सेवेची मदत असेल तर 108 रूग्णवाहिका सेवेसाठी तत्पर असते. आपत्कालीन आरोग्य सेवांसाठी ‘एक-शून्य-आठ’ हा विनामूल्य दूरध्वनी क्रमांक आहे. राष्ट्रीय आरोग्य अभियान, सार्वजनिक आरोग्य विभाग व भारत विकास ग्रुपच्या (बीव्हीजी इंडिया) संयुक्त विद्यमाने ही सेवा अव्याहतपणे राज्यात ठिकठिकाणी चालविण्यात येत आहे. महाराष्ट्रात या सेवेची सुरूवात जानेवारी 2014 मध्ये झाली. राज्यात सध्या 937 रूग्णवाहिका असून सर्व रूग्णवाहिकेत पल्स ऑक्स‍िमीटर, मेडीकल ऑक्सिजन यंत्रणा सज्ज आहे. ही देशातील अविरत 24 तास डॉक्टर व अत्यावश्यक वैद्यकीय सुविधेसह असणारी एकमेव यंत्रणा आहे. राज्यात 108 रूग्णवाहिकेमध्ये 40 हजार 213 प्रसुती करण्यात येऊन त्यांना सुखरूप सोडण्यात आले आहे. तसेच 4 हजार 34 रूग्णांना कृत्रिम श्वासोच्छवास (व्हेंटीलेटर) ची सुविधा देण्यात येऊन त्यांचे प्राण वाचविण्यात आले आहे.
राज्यात कोणत्याही ठिकाणावरून मोबाईल अथवा दूरध्वनीवरून 108 क्रमांक डायल करताच वैद्यकीय आपत्कालीन परिस्थितीत रूग्णांना विनामूल्य आणि वेळेत रूग्णवाहिका सेवा देण्यात येते. सेवा सुरू झाली तेव्हापासून, जून 2024 पर्यंत अपघाती घटनांमध्ये रूग्णवाहिकेमधून 5 लाख 22 हजार 682 रूग्णांना उपचारासाठी रूग्णालयात पोहचविण्यात आले आहे. तसेच आगीच्या घटनांमध्ये 29 हजार 253, हृदयरोगमध्ये 75 हजार 593, उंचावरून पडून जखमी झालेल्या 1 लाख 58 हजार 684, विषबाधा प्रकरणी 2 लाख 32 हजार 426, प्रसुतीवेळी 16 लाख 56 हजार 94, शॉक किंवा वीज पडून जखमी या घटनांमध्ये 6 हजार 949 रूग्णांना सेवा देण्यात आली आहे. अशा प्रकारे राज्यात 1 कोटी 3 हजार 446 रूग्णांना आरोग्य सेवा 108 च्या माध्यमातून मिळाली आहे. महाराष्ट्र आपत्कालीन वैद्यकीय सेवा या नावाने असलेल्या 108 ही रूग्णवाहिका सेवा सुरू आहे.
याव्यतिरिक्त राज्यात नाशिक येथील महाकुंभमेळा कालावधीत 1 लाख 7 हजार 200 रूग्णांना सेवा दिली. महाराष्ट्राची अस्मिता असलेल्या पंढरपूरच्या वारीमध्ये 2 लाख 89 हजार 646 आणि गणपती उत्सवात 4 हजार 684 रूग्णांना 108 ने सेवा दिली आहे. या सेवेमध्ये सुधारणा करण्यासाठी किंवा सेवेच्या समाधानाबाबत नागरिकांचा प्रतिसाद (फिडबॅक) देखील घेण्यात येतो. राज्यात सेवेबद्दल 6 लाख 74 हजार 542 प्रतिसाद प्राप्त झाले आहे. यामध्ये 81 हजार 155 एकदम उत्तम, 5 लाख 70 हजार 594 उत्तम आणि 22 हजार 793 चांगला प्रकारातील आहे.
राज्यात 108 रूग्ण्वाहिका सेवा संजीवनी आहे. गरीब रुग्णांना या सेवेमुळे वेळेत उपचार मिळण्यासाठी मोलाची मदत झाली आहे. त्यामुळे त्यांना संजीवनीच मिळाली आहे. ही सेवा कोरोना काळात जीवनदायी ठरली आहे.

One crore patients benefited by 108 Ambulance Service in last 10 years
Mumbai, July 5:- The ‘Dial 108’ Ambulance Service is extremely important during the situation of a medical emergency. The service provided by the Public Health Department in the State had successfully completed 10 years of devoted health services to the people. During these last 10 years, the 108 Ambulance Service has proved to be life saving for the patients. The ambulance service has provided free of charge Health Services to 1 crore 3 thousand 446 patients in the State.
The 108 Ambulance Service is always duly prepared for those who are ill, who met with an accident, in case of Medical emergencies and medical related services. The 108 Phone number is free of charge for emergency Health Services. The National Health Mission, Public Health Department and Bharat Vikas group (BVG India) are jointly providing the services at various places in the state, uninterruptedly.
The 108 service started in Maharashtra in January 2014. Presently, there are 937 well equipped ambulances in the state with Pulse Oxymeter, medical oxygen equipment and other facilities. This is the only machinery in the entire nation which is providing 24 by 7 doctors and advanced medical facilities. Till date, 40 thousand 213 deliveries have been safely performed in the 108 ambulances In the State and they were discharged in good health. Similarly, 4 thousand and 34 patients were provided the ventilator facility and their lives were saved.
Whenever the people in need dial 108 number from any nook and corner of the State during a medical emergency situation, they are provided the ambulance services, immediately and free of charge. Since the service started, 5 lakh 22 thousand 682 patients related to various accidents and mishaps were taken to the hospital within time, until June 2024.
The Ambulance service was also provided to 29 thousand 253 in fire incidents, 75 thousand 593 in heart diseases, 1 lakh 58 thousand 684 injured in cases of accidental falling down from height, 2 lakh 32 thousand 426 in the cases related to poisoning, 16 lakh 56 thousand 94 in childbirth, 6 thousand 949 in cases of electric shock or lightning cases. Thus, 1 crore 3 thousand 446 patients in the state have received health services through the Dail 108 Ambulances.
The 108 Ambulance Service is devotedly helping the patients and needy people under the label Maharashtra Emergency Medical Service.
Besides this, 1 lakh 7 thousand 200 patients were provided services during the MahaKumbh Mela in Nashik district of the state.
108 served 2 lakh 89 thousand 646 patients during the Procession- Wari of Pandharpur which is the identity of Maharashtra and also served 4 thousand 684 patients during Ganapati festival. The feedback of the people regarding the improvement required in the services or regarding their satisfaction related to the services is also taken.
6 lakh 74 thousand 542 responses have been received regarding the service in the state. Among them, 81 thousand 155 are ‘Very Good’, 5 lakh 70 thousand 594 are ‘Excellent’ and 22 thousand 793 are of ‘Good’ type.
The 108 Ambulance Service in the state is literally proving to the Sanjeevani. The poor and downtrodden patients are provided timely help so that they can be treated and their lives can be saved. This service had also proved to be a boon for the lives of the large number of people during the Corona crisis.
