मुंबई, दि.२९ : जनतेने शासनावर टाकलेला विश्वास सार्थ ठरविण्यासाठी आणि महाराष्ट्राला देशातअग्रेसर करण्यासाठी विकास कामे करताना जनतेचा एकही पैसा वाया जाणार नाही याकडे प्रशासनातील वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्यांनी कटाक्षाने लक्ष द्यावे, असे प्रतिपादन मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे यांनी केले.
मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालयात पदभार स्वीकारल्यानंतर प्रशासनातील वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्यांशी संवाद साधताना ते बोलत होते. यावेळी मुख्य सचिव अजोय मेहता, मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालयाचे प्रधान सचिव भूषण गगराणी आणि विविध विभागाचे सचिव उपस्थित होते.
मुख्यमंत्री श्री. ठाकरे म्हणाले, जनतेने दिलेल्या करातून विकासकामांसाठी निधी प्राप्त होत असतो. निधीचा योग्य प्रकारे विनियोग करून विकासाला गती देणे आवश्यक आहे. सेवाभावनेने कामे केल्यास जनतेचा विश्वास संपादन करता येईल. ‘सरकार माझे आहे’ अशी विश्वासाची भावना जनतेच्या मनात निर्माण करणे ही सर्वांची जबाबदारी आहे.
जनतेने विश्वासाने मुख्यमंत्रिपदाची जबाबदारी सोपविली आहे. राज्याला मुंबईत जन्मलेला पहिला मुख्यमंत्री मिळाला असल्याने मुंबईसह राज्याला देशात अग्रेसर करण्याचे स्वप्न घेऊन यापुढे काम करावयाचे आहे. विकासकामांसाठी निधी देताना करदात्याचे उत्पन्नही वाढेल याकडेदेखील लक्ष देणे तेवढेच महत्त्वाचे आहे. त्याचबरोबर शेतकरी आणि कष्टकऱ्यांच्या जीवनात आनंदाचे क्षण आणण्यासाठी विकासकामांचा प्राधान्यक्रम ठरवावा.
जनसेवेसाठी पारदर्शक आणि स्वच्छ कारभारावर अधिकाऱ्यांनी लक्ष द्यावे. शासन आणि प्रशासनाबद्दल जनतेच्या मनात आपुलकीची आणि आदराची भावना निर्माण होण्यासाठी हे अत्यंत महत्त्वाचे आहे. सर्वांगीण विकास साधताना कामांची गती आणि दिशेलाही तेवढेच महत्त्व आहे. त्यादृष्टीने प्रशासनातील वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्यांची जबाबदारी खूप महत्त्वाची आहे. अधिकारी आपल्या जबाबदारीचे सक्षमपणे निर्वहन करतील आणि प्रगतीचे उद्दिष्ट गाठण्यास शासन यशस्वी होईल असा विश्वास त्यांनी व्यक्त केला. ००००
CM Uddhav Thackeray holds Secretary’s meeting,
directs them not to waste a single paisa of public exchequer
Mumbai, Nov 29: Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray Friday advised the senior administrative officers to utilize each paisa of the people while carrying out development works to make Maharashtra a leader state in the country and to justify the faith people of the state reposed in this government.
He was interacting with the senior administrative officers after assuming the responsibility of the Chief Minister of the State. Chief Secretary Ajoy Mehta, Principal Secretary of CMO Bhushan Gagarani and secretaries of various departments were present on this occasion.
CM Thackeray said that the funds for development works are made available from the tax paid by the people. It is necessary to give impetus to development by optimum utilization of the funds allocated. We can earn the public faith by working with service attitude. It is our responsibility to make people feel allegiance to the government.
People have entrusted this responsibility of Chief Minister with great faith. The State has received the first chief minister born in Mumbai and therefore we need to work with a dream to make Mumbai and the state leader in development in the state.
We need to look towards increasing taxpayers’ income while making funds available for development works. In addition to that priority of development works should be fixed to bring better days in the life of farmers and workers.
The officers should concentrate on transparent and clean administration as this is necessary to create respect and attachment of people with the government. Speed and direction of development works are also equally important. From this point of view the senior administrative officers have to play an important role which they will do and the government would succeed in achieving its target, the CM confidently hoped.
