मुंबई, दि. 28 : प्रख्यात कृषी शास्त्रज्ञ आणि भारताच्या हरितक्रांतीचे जनक डॉ. एम एस स्वामीनाथन यांच्या निधनाबद्दल महाराष्ट्राचे राज्यपाल रमेश बैस यांनी दुःख व्यक्त केले आहे.
डॉ. एम एस स्वामीनाथन यांनी भारताच्या कृषी क्षेत्राचा चेहरा मोहरा बदलून देशाला अन्नधान्यांच्या उत्पादनात आत्मनिर्भर बनविले. त्यांच्या निधनामुळे देशाने कृषी क्षेत्रातील एक चालते बोलते विद्यापीठ गमावले आहे, असे राज्यपालांनी आपल्या संदेशात म्हटले आहे.

Maha Governor condoles demise of Dr M S Swaminathan
Mumbai, September 28 : Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais has expressed grief over the demise of the father of India’s Green Revolution Dr M S Swaminathan. In a condolence message, the Governor wrote:
“Dr M. S. Swaminathan transformed the face of Indian agriculture and was instrumental in making India ‘Atma Nirbhar’ in the production of foodgrains. In his demise, India has lost a one man Agricultural University.”
