अवयवदान दिनापासून जनजागृती सप्ताह आयोजित करण्याच्या राज्यपालांच्या विद्यापीठांना सूचना

मुंबई,दि. १२ : अवयवदानाचे महत्त्व सर्वांना पटून अवयवदान करण्यासाठी अधिकाधिक लोकांना प्रवृत्त करण्याच्या दृष्टीने राज्यातील विद्यापीठांनी ‘अवयव दान जनजागृती सप्ताह‘ आयोजित करण्याची सूचना राज्यपाल भगतसिंह कोश्यारी यांनी विद्यापीठांना केली आहे.

विद्यापीठांनी दिनांक १३ ऑगस्ट हा जागतिक अवयवदान दिन साजरा करावा तसेच दिनांक १३ ते २० ऑगस्ट या कालावधीत जनजागृती सप्ताह साजरा करून शिक्षक, विद्यार्थी, कर्मचारी तसेच सामान्य नागरिकांमध्ये अवयव दानाबाबत जनजागृती कार्यक्रमांचे आयोजन करावे अशा सूचना राज्यपालांनी विद्यापीठांना केल्या आहेत.

यासंदर्भात राज्यपालांच्या प्रधान सचिवांनी सर्व विद्यापीठांच्या कुलगुरूंना पत्राद्वारे सूचना केल्या आहेत. अवयव दान दिनानिमित्त अनेक विद्यापीठांनी चर्चासत्र – वेबिनारचे आयोजन केले असल्याचे कळविले आहे.

Governor Koshyari asks Universities to observe Organ Donation Week

The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari has asked all universities in the State to organize ‘Organ Donation Awareness Week’ from August 13 to encourage more people to pledge their organs.

The Governor has asked the vice chancellors of universities to observe the World Organ Donation Day on 13th August to spread awareness among the people. He has further asked the vice chancellors to observe the entire week from 13th to 20th August to create awareness about organ donation among students, teachers, staff and general citizens.

The Governor’s instructions to the vice chancellors have been conveyed to all by the Principal Secretary to the Governor.
Many universities in turn have communicated that they have organized awareness programmes on 13th August.
