Mumbai, Sept24th – The office of the chief election officer is undertaking massive awareness campaign for maximum participation of voters in ensuing assembly elections in this coming October. As a part of the same, a video clip `Come, Let’s Vote’ showing actress Madhuri Dixit is being shown to launch the campaign.
In this clip, Madhuri Dixit tells importance of informed voter in the process of democratic process and development of the country. The awareness campaign has active cooperation from the goodwill ambassdor in various celebrities from the field of arts, culture, sports and luminaries from social work.
Various personalities including nuclear scientist Dr Anil Kakodkar who is Padma Bhushan as well as Maharashtra Bhushan, noted writer Madhu Mangesh Karnik, actor Prashant Damle, actree Mrunal Kulkarni, Dr Nishigandha Wad, National award winning actress Udha Jadhav, cricketer Smruti Mandhana, Arjun Awarde winner athlete Lalita Babar, Arjun award winner swimmer Veerdhaval Khade, gold medallist at Coomonwealth Games and shooter Rahi Sarnobat, transgender activist Gauri Savant, differently abled Nilesh Singit are involved in this campaign.
It is interesting to note that the same team of12goodwill ambassadors had appealed voters to exercise their franchise as a part of National duty during the recently held2019Lok Sabha elections. Social media, print media, electronic media as well as advertising through display boards and flex are being used where these ambassadors are appealing people to vote for strengthening the democracy.
