मुंबई, दि. ९ : ‘विश्व नवकार महामंत्र’ दिनाचे औचित्य साधून प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या प्रमुख उपस्थितीत विज्ञान भवन नवी दिल्ली येथे एका कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. जगातील अनेक देशात आयोजित या कार्यक्रमाला प्रधानमंत्री यांनी यावेळी संबोधित केले.
तर, मुंबई येथे ‘विश्व नवकार महामंत्र दिन’ महाराष्ट्राचे राज्यपाल सी. पी. राधाकृष्णन यांच्या प्रमुख उपस्थितीत एनएससीआय डोम वरळी, मुंबई येथे सामूहिक मंत्रजपाच्या माध्यमातून साजरा करण्यात आला.
आपल्या भाषणातून प्रधानमंत्री यांनी देशवासियांना नऊ संकल्प करण्याचे आवाहन केले. पाण्याचा प्रत्येक थेंब वाचवा, आईच्या नावाने एक वृक्ष लावा, स्वच्छता पाळा, स्थानिक उत्पादनांचा अधिकाधिक वापर करा, देशातील विविध प्रेक्षणीय स्थळांना भेटी द्यावी, सेंद्रिय शेतीला चालना द्यावी, निरामय जीवनशैली अंगीकारावी, श्रीअन्नाचा अधिक वापर करावा, योग आणि क्रीडा यांना जीवनात स्थान द्यावे तसेच गोर-गरिबांना मदत करावी, असे आवाहन प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी यावेळी केले.
मुंबईत आयोजित कार्यक्रमामध्ये बोलताना राज्यपाल राधाकृष्णन यांनी नवकार महामंत्र हा केवळ शब्द – अक्षरांचा समूह नसून तो अरिहंत, सिद्ध, आचार्य, उपाध्याय आणि सर्व साधू आदी ज्ञानी आत्म्यांचा सन्मान करणारा प्रभावी मंत्र असल्याचे सांगितले.
नवकार महामंत्र दिनानिमित्त प्रतिक्रियेपेक्षा चिंतनाला, मतभेदापेक्षा एकतेला आणि संघर्षापेक्षा शांततेला महत्व देण्याचे आवाहन राज्यपालांनी यावेळी केले.
मुंबईतील कार्यक्रमाला कौशल्य विकास मंत्री मंगलप्रभात लोढा, गच्छाधीपती नित्यानंद सुरी, आचार्य के. सी. महाराज, आचार्य नय पद्मसागरजी महाराज, मुनी विनम्र सागरजी, आचार्य डॉ. लोकेश मुनी, अखिल भारतीय भिक्खू संघाचे अध्यक्ष भदंत राहुल बोधी महाथेरो, जैन इंटरनॅशनल ट्रेड ऑर्गनायझेशन (जिटो) चे पदाधिकारी, जैन समाजाचे प्रतिनिधीआदी उपस्थित होते.
विश्व नवकार महामंत्र दिनाचे आयोजन जैन इंटरनॅशनल ट्रेड ऑर्गनायझेशन ‘जिटो’ या संस्थेतर्फे करण्यात आले होते.

As part of the celebrations of Bhagwan Mahavir Jayanti, the ‘Vishwa Navkar Maha Mantra Day’ was organised globally by JITO and other Jain organisations on Wednesday (9 April).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the global ‘Vishwa Navakar Maha Mantra Day event from Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi, which was relayed all over the world.
In Mumbai, Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan and Minister of Skill Development Mangal Prabhat Lodha participated in the Vishwa Navkar Maha Mantra Day programme organised by Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) at NSCI Dome in Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Modi appealed to the people to adopt 9 vows for the welfare of humanity. He appealed to the people to save every drop of water, plant one sapling in the name of mother, observe Swachchhata Mission, be ‘Vocal for Local’, visit various places in the country, promote natural farming, adopt a healthy lifestyle, increase the use of millets in food, promote sports and yoga and help the poor and the needy.
Speaking on the occasion in Mumbai, Governor Radhakrishnan said the Navkar Maha Mantra is not merely a set of syllables, it is an invocation that honours the enlightened souls: the Arihantas, Siddhas, Acharyas, Upadhyayas and all Sadhus.
He appealed to the people to let Navkar Maha Mantra Day be a new dawn for humanity and asked people to choose reflection over reaction, unity over division, and peace over conflict.
Gachchadhipati Nityanand Suri, Acharya K C Maharaj, Acharya Naya Padmasagar Ji Maharaj, Muni Vinamra Sagar Ji, Acharya Dr Lokesh Muni, President of All India Bikkhu Sangh Bhadant Rahul Bodhi Mahathero were among those present.
